well ive checked a few things over today and all seems fine really ,,, been for a drive today with the MAF unplugged ,, drives well now ,, after a few miles it did go into limp mode again and missfired so i stoped the car and restarted and was fine again ,, so it coul be my MAF that is no good ,,, but i think it is something else aswell as the MAF  ??


yeh 135 is drivers side and thats the side ive done all the work on

bank 1,3,5 pack ,,, yeh its off a bosh reader i have ,, ive cleared the erros before and it was fine for about 20 or so miles then started to missfire again ,, now does it offen even after errors are cleared

i would do the pedal trick but car is at my girlfriends house

bosch are shite, as are snap on.

often give conflicting info, they dont seem to have the complete code list ime

Strongly sugest pegal trick when possible. its free, to confirm accurate code read.

If still 0300 1/3/5 drivers side, check wiring and plug to coil pack (no dis pack or leads) for continuity or damage.

checked plug and cleaned it and wires and all seem fine ,, i shall go do the pedal trick 2morrow after work and see what i get and post results ,, i would drive the car to nottingham to see mark but as car is running like it is at the momet its drinking to much fuel and my pockets are a bit empty at the moment

had it on the diagnostic and its just says missfire cyl 1 3 and 5

yeh when i first looked it had oil on them but i done the gaskets and everything nothing else seemed wrong apart from that ,, so still dont know ??

checked the bits on end of plugs they are tight  so still no idea what it is ?

ok so got some more new plugs today got them fitted went for another test drive and still missfires so all in all ive done cam cover gaskets , spark plugs twice , coil pack , cleaned the MAF ,,, and there is still a missfire on cyl 1,3,5 ,, what else could it be im at my wits end and just feel like getting rid of the dam thing lol

thanks for all the replys everyone ,, i read the codes on a code reader dont remember the numbers now but it said missfire cyl 1 , 3, 5 , car must of been running in limp mode ,, i cleared the error codes and car seemed to run alot better then  ,,, i took it for a long drive yesterday and all was fine till about 20mils down the raod it went back into limp mode again and started to missfire anyone have any ideas im thinking the plugs or one of the plugs on 1,3,5 could be faulty ??

ill run the code reader 2mora and let you know all the codes ,, no its running standard air box and the eml is off , never came on just got the missfire
