Guessing the radio works, just not the cd?

Known issue with that model, sadly needs to be sent off for repair.  A regular member in this section runs a repair business that can do it - Dave DND

Since being in a real good auto electrical repair garage with my omega...and due to disconnection of the battery for a while to undertake the work,it said safe on the (philips model ccr 2006 console.) when i got in the car to start it with ignition on..so i input the code i use and pressing the AS button too and waiting for the bleep and it then said 10 safe then wait a bit then input the code and then 9 safe wait a bit longer and so on...it now says... cdc 7 safe...Now the car alarm goes off when you try to start the car and wont switch off till i jump start the car with another brand new battery and jump leads(one new for the car and one new to jump from)now the cars started and running fine with cdc 7 safe on the console, no radio, no cassette, no cd player either...until switch off then its all over again...key in the door central lock working fine, then loud alarm howlin... flat brand new battery too...click click click... cdc safe 7 on the console same as usual...i cant do anything with it and the date is always reset to 1997 jan 1.whats its problem?? help needed on this please omega owners and fans....thank you from ian.
