Omega Electrical and Audio Help / Re: in car phone
« on: 02 March 2010, 22:38:35 »
I have exactly the same problem. Have tried with Orange and O2. Same problem, SIM is read, phone book is loaded etc. but no signal. I did actually make a call once but was literally under a mast. So it seems that the aerial isn't doing its job. Two cables in the boot are "one star" so I'm told, nothing to do with phone.
System is a Phillips CRT700, Car 1999 Omega CDX, car was one year old when I bought it. I did try a Vauxhall garage (Brandish In Coventry) many years ago but the Diagnostic Terminal said everything was OK and in reality they hadn't a clue.
So, everything seems to work, SIM is read, data loaded, searches for Network, can't find a network. Ideas?
