hi all as anyone else had this problem that I have sometimes the lights flicker on and off or go dull or bright on my electric window switches it happens with all four switches at the same time its nightmare am thinking it might be a bad earth or is there some kind of control module I was thinking main relay for the windows maybe I had a look in my Haynes manual to see were a relay is but it useless please help cause when I can put the windows down great but when it rains lol .
I finally found the problem I noticed when I open and closed the passenger door the lights flickered on and off so a thought wait a minute I checked the door pin switch on the a pillar a found that was corroded so changed that for a later 2 wire rubber covered one cause the early one has a single wire with a plastic pin and also took off the multi plug on the door and found 3 corroded connections so cleaned them and checked the 2 long black multi plugs behind the passenger plastic kick panel found a slight bent pin fixed that so hey presto all is working fine the way it should .
hope this helps other members on here .

iirc = If I Remember Correctly
Regulator on the alternator can break down and short to earth (chassis)
This would drain the battery.
Pull fuse 7 (utilities) and see what happens
If that doesn't work out and if you can get your hands on a clamp meter, set it to mA and clamp it across the 12 volt terminal of the battery.
With the ignition switch off and the key removed, pull each fuse out one by one until the current drain stops. Remember which fuse then find out which circuits it powers.
early migs dont have the delay iirc-your battery drain could be alternator
I don't know if this applies to Omega's but it certainly does of the Omega A (Carlton).
Have a look under the carpet in the passenger side footwell. You'll be looking for two pairs of red wires that join in that area. When the carpet gets damp they can and do corrode causing a bad connection.
ah ok thanks for the info your help is greatly appreciated I will have a look at cheers .
I can't see a code for a valid picture (eg something ending in .jpg .gif .png) in that lot.
There are two valid codes for buttons on their website and also a link for a shockwave flash file (.swf) but that doesn't open when I try itand you won't be able to use a flash file for your avatar.
