Omega Electrical and Audio Help / Re: CDC safe readout
« on: 02 April 2009, 00:01:18 »
Just checked out my car pass and there is no cd changer code on it. All there is, is a forward slash through the bit where the code would be. I'll try the radio code using the way you said and let you know how I get on. Cheers

I may as well get all my niggling little things looked at as i'm here...
Can anyone tell me why my stereo shows 'CDC safe' and won't play cd's but the radio still works fine?? I've tried re'inputting the code etc, but to no avail. Any help greatly appreciated as I don't want to have to pay through the nose for a VX tech to tell me I need a new stereo.

I've got the old belt off (what was left of it), but i'm having a hell of a job getting the new one on. Just wondered if there was a simple technique to it and if there is anything I need to undo/take off to get it on?

Can anyone please tell me if I need to un bolt anything or undo anything to put a new aux belt on a 3.0 v6 elite. Maybe there is a certain way to do it... i'm starting to get grumpy with this one now...  >:(

Thanks Andy, yes it is just the one long aux belt. I got a bit excited (in a bad mood way) when I saw the remnants of the belt. Just ordered one from 'my parts man' and with discount £18 and got a mate fitting it tonight.
Thanks for all the help and advice, much appreciated  :y

Had a new water pump about 8 months ago as well as new cam belt and HBV. I'll have a look at the belts now and get back to you.
