Alan has drained it and dropped the anti freeze, all the water out of the system, would this clear an air lock or if not how do we do it Sorry to be so much trouble its just hes so far away thankyou so much for all your help Zoe

what do you think it could be then as it did go into the red but is not doing now just sitting at 90 then will go to 100 but then back down to 90, not very good are we!! it has just had a new cambelt and water pump if this makes any difference, the car has been well loved and anything that needed doing has been done, just wanted to know if it was worth buying it thanks

There is no oil contamination in the water at all, will it be ok to drive it home all that way.

Hi there, dont know if Im doing this right, my hubby went to pick up an NV6, the car was ok but as they were driving round the temperature was at about 80, it then shot up to the red then dipped right down, has anyone any ideas what it could be. Would appreciate your help thanks Zoe

There was steam (as you are looking at the car) it was on the left hand side, there is water in it, there is no oil in the resevouir (cant spell that) and the pipe is hot. Have taken it for a run, on a hill loaded and it is running at 100 temp not miles (ha) but hovers around 90, thankyou for helping

HELP!!!!

My hubby has just drove 225 miles to pick up an NV6, the car was fine and running at around 80 but then the temperature shot up onto the red, then it went right down again. Please help as he is miles away and has now given the hire car back. Would appreciate anyone letting us know if it is a bad problem or not. Thankyou so much Zoe
