« on: 19 June 2007, 11:04:39 »
Hi to all ;)
On my 1997 Omega Tourer, my air con compressor clutch dont cut in :'(. the light on the air con button comes on ok, is there any way I can check the air con compressor, before paying to have it re-gased, which is no point if my compressor is had it.

« on: 11 June 2007, 11:01:19 »
Hi to all i hope you can help me.
Last Friday I used gunk and a pressure washer on the engine of my 1997 2.6 V6 automatic Omega Tourer. I done it all with the engine running.
I went out in it on Sunday It was missing a little bit, but soon cleard up.
I got it out of the drive this morning, it was missing but still had power, But I then went to go out in it at 8 am but it had a job to get up to 10 mph, and it was back firing :'(. I have just checked the cambelt and marks and all is fine :)
so please any other things I should check :question also when I tried to rev the car hard a lot of white smoke cam out, and smelt of rotten eggs :'(
          Please help

Hi
If the petrol is going in and the wrong time or not at enough presure, it will not fire, some time it can be a silly little thing, or a big mess like cam belt slip a few teeth,
                     Good luck ;)

Hi, is it a OBD 2 code reader you are using? if yes I have just looked at my 15 pages of codes and P1740 is Transmission system problems, but I have heard on here that a Tech 2 will give more info. I live in Northampton and my old Omega cut out twice going past the old cattle market :-[
were you any were near there? :o

Omega General Help / Re: Fan on Constant
« on: 31 May 2007, 16:30:31 »
Hi you fan switch should be on the radiator, you can get one bit of wire with a crocerdile clip at each end and conet to both conections on the plug you take off the switch. if your fans do not work now, then some thing else is wrong.

Hi
at a last thing, you can run a live wire from the + of your battery, to the plus on your fan, but disconect the plus of your fan from the wire loom. :P
are you sure your thermostat is not stuck?
you would be better to your enging having it towed to the garage. does it loose any water?
                              Yours
                                Jason :y
