Is this not the start of the Powersounder problem... like I had .... fixed the battery prob by removing the powersounder.... first sign of Powersound battery leak is
flattening the main battery... well it was for me..

thanks for replies guys.... I was wondering if a in inline aerial amp can be fitted which might improve the signal to noise ratio? Driving under a bridge when the am lw sig goes altogether the mush goes ape... so I feel amplifying the signal may overpower the interference........
I imagine probably not, but you never know??

Omega Electrical and Audio Help / long wave suppression....
« on: 19 July 2010, 15:43:09 »
I'm a bit of LW, radio4 and irish rte radio(252khz, give it a listen, brilliant when youve sussed out the accent!!)
and they both worked perfectly in my old vw camper van, but in my cdx ccr2006, there is interference on long and medium wave when used in  same geographical area as the vw.
is it possible to supress the electric noise on LW radio freqs that occurs when putting revs on? when the signal is strong it is fine'

for instance would attaching a suppressor somewhere help?
Cheers

Hi,
I joined the other day and explained what I had done regarding removing the powersounder..... could you please tell me what the other horn attached to the powersounder is for ... is it a standard alarm horn and should it be reattached without the powersounder?
Cheers

Hi Tapper,
Ive had the car for two months or so, no spring changes in
paperwork I have...
Ive just discovered the spare wheel tyre is 195/65 15,
is that the tyres that should be fitted in this car, if so, why
would someone change them?

Omega General Help / Tyres or something?
« on: 05 September 2010, 11:27:35 »
Morning all,
there isnt much clearance between my front tyres(225/55/1600), (cdx z22xe)
and the bottom of the spring holder, cant get my finger between them! Is this the design or is there somethin
wrong, i.e suspension, tyre size? there is no noises, bumps or grinds.
cheers for reading this

Hi everyone,
Just yesterday I became an Omega man...... and I love it already.... been driving VW T25 campervans for 20 years
and decided to get comfortable, with toys and found my CDX.
Its 2001, 59000 miles, absa lootely immaculate, main dealer serviced right up to middle of last may.
The seller  told me  the battery had just started going flat overnight, and the main dealer blamed immobiliser etc etc and he was to keep and eye on it!! He was in his late 80's, had been charged hundreds and hundreds of pounds for stuff over the past ten years,  most of which, everyone on here would not have bothered having done..... anyway to my point...
I found this forum last night and read the horror stories re alarm .... so I immediately prepared to take it out.... to discover that one plug had already been taken out of the flat horn, and the powersender was still connected....
Ive taken it out, just finished a little while ago, the battery has been on charge and i cant wait for tomorrow morning to
see if it starts.... heres hoping it solves the prob...
and all this is why Ive joined, and to say thanks for the power sender/battery  fix and for all the fascinating reading I have started to enjoy already....
so Hello again and I am really pleased to be here....
all the best
Doogie ;)
