Unfortunately it doesn't have any airco! Having read more on here I am going to try flushing the radiator, probably no anti freeze anyway then if that doesn't work flush the heater matrix. Thanks

Yes thermostat running fine- gauge runs in the centre!! Have been looking through the site and there seems to be something about flushing the heater water out??

I have just bought a 1997 2.0 16v GLS- no airco and when the heater  switches are turned on hot there is a little nearly warm air coming out- when the controls are turned to cold the air is really cold so something is happening when the dials are turned but I nearly got frostbite last night!! The fan works as well. Please can anyone suggest what could be up with this. Many thanks

Just a quick Hello to everyone
Am from the Nottingham area.
I.ve owned quite a few Vauxhalls before
with the last one being a 3.2 Signum but
now have a 3.0 Elite and the only things
that are now wrong on the inside are
the driver's seat doesn't heat up-the other
3 do! And the telephone only works when
it wants to!
If anyone knows the cures please let me know'

Well thanks but the selonoid is female  and has now started working perfectly!!!! Seems the wd40 has soaked in and is now working!!

David do you have a passenger side selonoid that would fit a facelift 2.2?? My mate's has gone now!

Thanks everyone it seems to be the selonoid on the central locking- I've taken the door card off oiled everything inc connections on the selonoid and it's no better!  :-/

I've not long had my 3.0 Elite pre face lift. It's 99% good but a few little faults!
1. The driver's door doesn't always lock- you have to do the central locking 5 or 6 times to make the lock drop.
2. The leather heated driver's seat doesn't work- all the others do!
3. I have a Bose radio incorporating a phone- it works and then when you switch the engine off it wont accept the sim and wont work and it can take up to 20 starts before it starts to work again! Is this common? Is there an easy cure??
