I'm new to the forum and am becoming concerned at hearing about this problem with the powersounder ( haven't had any myself up to now). Is it something I should be doing something about? I tend to be a "if its not broke don't fix it" driver.

Omega Electrical and Audio Help / CCR2006 "no disc" message
« on: 09 July 2010, 19:36:46 »
I've had my Omega for 6 months and the cd hasn't worked since I got it. Goes through reading proceedure and then says no disc and switches back to radio tuner. Judging by replies to older posts sounds like a goosed lazer. Are they repairable or do I need a new unit?

Omega Electrical and Audio Help / Re: Petrol Gauge

Thanks for that Tunnie. I've suspected the gauge might be a bit dodgy but doesn't really matter if I can rely on the range.

Petrol gauge reads nearly empty with flashing red warning but trip computer says range 70 miles. Who's telling the truth?

Omega General Help / Loose Pipe
« on: 22 May 2011, 16:36:55 »

Anyone know where the pipe resting on top of the expansion chamber should be connected to?

I've had the wiper mechanism out and must have disturbed the pipe in the process.

Wipers have become very slow. Luckily it's not raining much at present but I'll have to sort them out. Is the motor on the way out??

Omega General Help / Re: Auto Gearbox stuck in "Park"
« on: 08 December 2010, 13:05:15 »
Thanks for all that chaps. In the meantime been out and started the car again, no problem this time, must be something intermittent. As long as I know I can disengage manually I'm happy with that.

Omega General Help / Re: Heater bypass valve?  Any advice?
« on: 09 July 2010, 15:40:25 »
Just changed my HBV in about an hour having plucked up the courage after reading these posts. Thanks a lot everyone.
Thought it worth mentioning for those fellow novices out there that you can get hold of the valve and pull it out from the back of the engine with the hoses still attached making it easier to disconnect them. I had visions of having to get in with a socket or spanner thinking that it must be bolted to something, but it is more or less just free standing.
Thanks again

Thanks for the welcome. I have to say, Zulu & Lizzie, you're two fantastic looking girls (or is this a wind up? I hope not). I think I'm going to like this club.

Hello, just joined today and have managed to change my heater bypass valve following 1st class advise in the General Help area. Been leaking for weeks and didn't know where to start. Thanks a lot.
