Somehow my towing eye cover has disappeared from the front bumper of my 2000/X (Facelift) MV6. I went to the dealer yesterday but they don't even have the Prodrive bumpers on their computer system.

Does anyone know the part number or where I could source one from?

Will give the cabling a check.

Vauxhall charged £22 for the part and only £6 to fit. No too bad.

The dealer said it might be the Air-con ECU has failed. Is that a possibility?

Hi,

I have a fault with external temp sensor on my MV6. It seems to count down to about -40c then shows F on the display. It then seems to reset itself to about 1c and then does it again.

I though it may be a sensor fault so I had it replaced by my dealer (£28) but that has not had any effect.

What else could be wrong?

Best tyre I have used on an MV6 is the Toyo Proxes T-1R, no doubt.

Worst tyre.....Kumho. Scary.

Yokohama C-Drives are pretty good too and were my tyre of choice until I tried the Toyo. C-Drives have saved my life once.

Fuse is ok.

Having problems pairing though. I switch the ignition to stage II, PROGRAM appears on the MID. I press the lock/unlock buttons a couple of times then the traffic master renewal message plays!

Anymore suggestions?

Hi all,

I have just purchased my third Omega, this one is a facelifted MV6 estate. I am going through it a fixing all the little niggles and would like some advice if possible.

The first issue is that the remote central locking is not working, the light on the key illuminates when the button is pressed but nothing happens.

Then when you unlock the car manually the power sounder goes off until you start the car.

I can live without central locking but the power sounder is doing my head in.

Help/advice?

Second issue to follow.

On my old pre-facelift MV6 the clock used to be set by the BBC via RDS.

However on my new facelift MV6 it does not seem to work, has this facility been removed? The icon is still on the MID just not illuminated.
