why has nobody mentioned wheel bearings ? i had the exact same problem and tried everything including changing the tyre and it was when doing this i was told the bearing had gone...it had fused together so did not pick up on the " wobble " test,so worth checking

Omega Electrical and Audio Help / Re: car battery advice
« on: 29 December 2010, 22:53:36 »
for a charge to be put in you have to keep the engine on at least 1500 steady revs - the more  revs- the more charge goes in.  a good 5mins of this would be enough to keep the battery on form every 3-4days :y

mine also does 28.8 mpg  ..... until i switch the engine on !! lol

it could be one of the cells in the battery  starting to leak into another cell ... this gives an intermittent voltage problem.. one day its fine the next day not. worth checking out.

Omega Electrical and Audio Help / Re: fuse blown :(
« on: 24 August 2010, 19:04:00 »
would it not be better to take the fuse out completely to check so that when you replace it you push it all the way back in ? thus ensuring a snug fit and checking for loose fitting at the same time ?

definately do not check fuses with engine on or with the keys in at all ... you will blow them every time.

if the seat has been off in the past the runners might have been put back on misaligned so it would be worth checking this out or the fastening bolts might have come lose/not tightened down enough so the heads would be sticking up stopping the travel

you could take out/put back the fuse and maybe fooling it into thinking its switched off ...... or your actual on/off button is loose.. usually held in by two nuts. try tightening them down thus pulling the switch forward
