Thanks everyone for all the help and advice. Decided on Premium car model on ebay £78  postage which  quotes steel from Krupps same as Eternal used to so hope it is of the same quality.

Just had email from ETS saying that have no compatible exhausts for a 2002 facelift 2.6V6. Will any other variants fit or could anyone else help with another supplier please

Omega General Help / Exhausts

The exhaust on my 2002 2.6V6 is shot. The last one came from eternal but i gather they no longer supply these items. Can anyone recommend a supplier for a cat back system which isn't going to break the bank.

Thanks for the quick reply. I think the garage have identified the speed sensor as the transmission output shaft speed sensor which may account for the confusion on price. Do you think they are barking up the wrong tree?

Omega General Help / Fault code 0500 and multiple misfire
« on: 01 February 2016, 17:31:43 »
My 2002 2.6 V6 has developed a misfire at low revs and ECU light illuminates.Local garage has identified two problems i.e output speed sensor and coil pack for cylinder 2. They have quoted over £200 for the output sensor and its touch and go with the price of the coil pack plus labour if the car is worth repairing or be condemned to the scrapyard. Any assistance in saving the car would be appreciated.

Yes. Refill carried out as per maintenance guide. Also forgot to mention the filter was changed as well.

Omega General Help / Gearbox gremlins
« on: 22 May 2015, 13:43:53 »
Any help would be appreciated!!! My 2002 2.6 V6 108000 miles on the clock has developed gearbox problems. Engine sometimes over revs and misses a gear, this is normally accompanied by a loud clunk and spanner light comes on but not always. Pedal trick showed code 1700 so first solution was to drain and refill gearbox. Fault is still there and seems to occur mainly when accelerating uphill or away from roundabouts. Before I consign it to the garage for a Tech check any other suggestions would be welcome.

Omega General Help / Help wanted please

I've just changed the cam cover gaskets and plugs on my 2002 2.6 V6 facelift. On refitting everything I am left with a vac pipe coming from the RAM at the rear of the Plenum. Only prob I can't see where it should go. It runs to the front on the cable cover above the passenger side Dis pack and must have become disconnected in the scrum  fitting  the  camshaft cover . Any help would be welcomed.

Eureka!!! Had a good poke around the wiring at the rear of the temp bulb and found inline plug with blue lead connected. The other end was tucked down behind the engine and it took a bit of teasing with a hooked wire to extract it. Reconnected and temp guage working. Thanks again to everyone I couldn't have fixed it without you. Does anyone have the correct torque figure for the bolts holding the plenum to the manifold or is it just white nuckles? I've updated my profile Dave; sorry I only joined a day or so ago and still finding my way around;- still a bit further West though :
