the   timing chain started to rattle at tickover then about a week later the chain jumped as i was starting the car up it sounded like a bag of hammers lost power and loads of blue smoke came out of the exhaust it has 151000 miles on the clock

teesside n/east 243 plus vat thats  chains tensoiners crank   seal and timing cover gasket iwill try bmw tommorow

hi all has anbody on the forum ever changed timing chain tensioners on aomega 2.5 td as mine are us this caused the timing chain to jump a tooth so the is running lik a bag of spanners would this have caused any valve damage?  :-/
