Dave, thank you! I have managed to unblock it. Any idea where I can find a user manual for this radio/cassette/CD/telephone?

Omega Electrical and Audio Help / How to unblock my CCRT2008 Philips

Hi all, after a battery change the info window on my 2002 V6 3.2 Elite is asking for the radio code. I enter it with the 1234567890 buttons on the panel, it says OK and then it asks "Exit" No idea how to exit. Now I get the message radio code 9, subsequently radio code 8 and " safe". Who can help me with this? The instruction manual says nothing about how to unblock the radio after a battery change. :-[

worked fine one minute, dead the next: that goes also for the battery. I have replaced it and the car is running fine again. Thanks once more!

Hi all, thank you very much!
Tango: it's automatic.
Welung666: what's a pedal test?
Andy H.: will do!
Philrich: as I said, they were heavy duty cables/clamps. But I now realize that I should have connected to a ground on the chassis/engine while jump starting, instead of to the negative pole on the battery. Hope it hasn't done any damage....

Hi all, this afternoon (car worked fine) I pull up, stop the engine. Twenty seconds later I want to start it again, nothing there. No horn, dashboard lights are weak and go dim when starting. Wrench indicator lights up. We have tried starting with heavy duty cables connected to someones SUV, but, although horn is at its normal strength (for a little while), the engine won't give a budge. What could this be. Car (Omega 3,2 2002) has been running fine for weeks. Suggestions anyone?

No, the engine doesn't stop. Last time the fuse blew I had just turned on the radio, that was three days ago. I haven't turned the radio on since and everything has been fine, so far... Thanks all of you for your comments and hope the cambelt has been fixed!
By the way, the car and I, we are in Kuwait, where it has been over 50 degrees centigrade of late...

Thanks very much again! But no more problems after I changed fuse 15, other than fuse 15 blew again this morning....

9
May I ask what is an HBV?

10
it must have been coolant, because the pressure tankwas completetely empty, I added about half a gallon....

11
As a matter of fact it wàs fuse 15. Thanks a 1.000.000! :

Thanks, that's quick! I already suspected it's coolant, but it feels a bit greasy. The puddle is situated under the engine, near the radiator. Everything worked fine until this morning, don't know if anyone has touched the dash lately, not in the two weeks that I have had it!

Hi everybody, I got an Omega B 3,2 two weeks ago and it seemed to be doing fine. This morning however none of the instruments (tachometer, speedometer, temperature gauge, fuel gauge) and the control indicator lights were working, only a battery symbol lighting up strongly. Under the car, I found a puddle of a pinkish colour. What could this mean? Thanks for your comments!

Omega General Help / Re: blower fan A/C has lost speed
« on: 08 September 2011, 17:14:29 »
thank you all of you who responded. Mind you, it is not a reduced air flow, it's just that the booster fan (that seems to be there) stopped cutting in. However, yesterday, after five days of not working, it spontaneously cut in again and now the A/C is working fine again, WITHOUT ANY REMEDIAL ACTION ON MY PART! For how long, though? We are heading towards the winter season, and that means less heat, but I hate to think of next year's summer..... :'(

Omega General Help / blower fan A/C has lost speed
« on: 03 September 2011, 18:39:08 »
Hi Omega fans,

I wonder if anyone has a solution for the following problem. I live in Kuwait and with summer temperatures surpassing 130 degrees F one needs airconditioning. Mine worked fine, until this morning. Normally when I start the car, the A/C comes on automatically and you can hear and feel the air blower, whose speed can be made to increase or decrease by touching the nr 1 and 2 buttons to the left on the dashboard. Until this morning, when I touched the nr 3 button (the one for blocking the access of air from the exterior, an extra, very strong, blower would cut in and the air flow caused by this (extra?) fan, would make life inside the car bearable. Now, all of a sudden, there is is a much more modest air stream and life inside the car has become very difficult (hot). Does anyone have an idea what could have caused the extra blower (which could also be made to come on/off by varying the temperature settings of the A/C) to no longer function? Thanks for your helpful suggestions!
