Omega General Help / Re: will an mv6 lsd fit straight into a td
« on: 08 September 2010, 23:07:02 »
Be willing to bet the splines on the prop shaft will be different than the td, and unsure if the td generates more torque per ft lb than the mv6,if it does would just wreck the diff anyway

someone will know better

Try removing fuse for central locking and opening it with the key

Might, but don't hold me to it, have to sacrifice a door card to get at it,just remove everything you can get at if you do have to tear it off, a good used replacement card won't be expensive,

Hopefully someone knows another way

i'd check where its gushing water from, have the head pressure tested before ripping it to bits, check for water in oil etc.as its gushing from it may not contaminate the oil, you'll have done some damage but may not be end of the story, though it might well be,if its coming out that fast its barely doing a circuit, did it boil?as in gauge go to red at any point?

black box with wiring harness going in one end, a rod attached to the top, inside door panel, will be fixed into the locking mech,

Somethings fouling that if its only actuating from the key i'd presume, while your in there press the fob a few times see what it does, then try pulling it by hand and see what's fighting it
Picture swiped from ebay but will put you on right track

Aye most cars have a safety feature prevent you locking the door when its open so you don't lock your keys in, actuator is probably sticking,

Pulling the door catch doesn't lift the lock? Thats what works on some cars i've had, pull the handle not the lock

Omega General Help / Re: brake problem
« on: 08 September 2010, 22:25:58 »
Check for obvious things, loose wheel nuts, etc, have a look at the balljoints on the track rod ends,if they're gone they'll be squashed and split, usually the cause of a click or a small knock when braking is a loose balljoint travelling,
