Omega General Help / Leaky Power Steering
« on: 26 November 2010, 17:55:01 »
Am I right in assuming the power steering system on 2.2 is not pressurised, have small leak on pipe that comes from filler/reservoir to pump it may just be the case of tightening jubilee clip or replacing "S" shaped pipe if this is the case can oil be drained off into container and new pipe fitted and then reservoir topped back up?

« on: 16 September 2010, 17:47:48 »
Sorry to trouble you all again as some of you may of rembered I have already raised the question as to changing ATF oil as I do not have the facilities or space to do such work and my age!! I asked for a quote from dealer :-? which was £90 :( then got a quote from independent £60 ::) left car with independent only to be told on return that they were unable to do the work as it was a BMW type? box and was sealed for life I was not charged for any time etc but came away a little confused their opinion was unless the box leaked leave well alone :-/ as stated I can not get under car or have space/ tools to do the work any sensible comments appreciated
