Omega General Help / Re: Heated seat failure - omega facelift
« on: 05 December 2010, 15:56:56 »
I wonder if anyone can help please

My drivers leather front seat does not heat up but the passenger's works fine. I have a 2002 facelift 2.6 Omega. I suspect it is the heat pad. I need to understand what colours and purpose of each of the connector blocks under the seat (I think I have seen yellow, brown, green and black) before I disconnect anything.

Also if I disconnect the airbag one hour before I start the job, will this avoid the air light bag warning light needing to be reset?

Any help would be much appreciated

The seat motor started working today!

Thought I would wait to see if the heated seats warmed up but no joy. Looks like I will need to strip the seats to get to the pads.

It appears no one else has ever tried to do this on leather seats?

Thanks for everyone help, looks like I have a challenge on my hands.

Before I start can anyone help with a wiring diagram and colour codes for the heat pads, motor and air bag.

Also where would be the best place to buy new heat pads which fit my leather seat.

Hi

Can anyone please help me with a step by step guide to removing the driver front leather seat on an omega 2002 CD 2.6 as the heated seat does not warm up.

The switch on the dash illuminates but no heat from the seat. Passenger side is fine. I am worried about the air bag going off.

Also looks like the motor to lift the chair is seized. Just hear a clicking noise from it. any ideas how to repair please.

These are a great improvement, thanks. Only problem is that the new bulbs make my parking bulbs look yellow.

Can anyone help with the Philips x-treme number for parking bulbs?

Thank you for your help. I can see Philips Extreme +80 but not +90%. These are the ones I can find http://www.powerbulbs.com/product_detail.asp?prod=160
