Omega General Help / Electric rear blind.

Wasn’t sure which group to post this in, apologies if this is the incorrect one.
My rear blind has recently given up the ghost, was working perfectly albeit a little floppy when erect (keep it clean) but recently it stopped going up and down completely although upon depressing the button I can hear a clicking noise coming from the rear shelf area.
Having had a little search all I can find is a thread on how to remove the rear blind but ideally I’m looking for any ideas as to why it may have stopped working and why it used to bounce up and down? The previous owner had fitted a little strap to the trim panel that hides access to the roof aerial and fixed the blind to that so it would wouldn’t bounce around.

I figured as the rocker covers would be coming off to replace all the gaskets as they are leaking and cam belt/auxiliary belt would be being done at the same time I thought maybe slipping in a couple of G cams wouldn’t take much longer
When I had an Omega I bought off an OOF member from Biggleswade?
