Omega General Help / Re: Rear blind help please
« on: 25 September 2010, 09:18:29 »
..Hope you managed to sort out a blind for your car, I never had a car with a rear blind before it would be really useful but I tried to get my blind to work & it just makes a clicking noise... :-[

Oh is that what the holes are, they look like some thing should be 'in them' It was some one at work today said that it was the wiper blades missing, I thought what else can it be for and agreed, better I read the manual hey lol

It would be 'safe ' for me then to purchase a set of wiper blades for the headlights, I need something to fill the holes, (now don't be rude) as I did not notice when I bought the car the wipers where missing...its not that big a deal to me but looks a bit silly when you notice it, roughly they cost ? I've no idea ?

Omega General Help / Re: A Warning Light's Flickered
« on: 24 September 2010, 15:24:19 »
Thanks Albas & everyone, this is the up date....
On my way home from work then on to the garage the light was flashing ever more frequently but very intermittently engine running ok. It failed the MOT  :'( but I thought it would, not too bad however as they are only trivial things & not to scary it will probably cost about £100 to put it through & that is to include the test fee, the cat was rattling some previous owner had but a screw in it to try & stop it !
The flashing could be caused by fact that the car has a 'misfire' which was picked up on the emissions test, so that could be a coil or a plug ? that would explain flickering perhaps ? but you all know assumption in the mother of all ****ups

I think that's good advice lucky for me tho he does have an omega, I seem to remember it being an old one, He uses it as a garage runabout vehicle.... anyway I'll find out tomorrow because I've not been for while & can't remember anything about it. He say's my car will need a gas conversion doing as they are very thirsty cars, I said that when I picked it up I put £11 quids worth of fuel in it to get me home, he laughed, it wasn't long before the petrol light was on I said, he laughed again & said he was surprised It would get off a drive will £11 quids worth....I was worried today as I put another much larger amount of cash in it £15 quid this time lol but it was still hanging in there when I got to work, yipee

Great advice,  a friend of mine who has a garage will check it for me before I take it for the MOT, its an LPG garage so if the fuel consumption keeps me awake at night I'll be calling in a favour. I have never heard of the paper clip test, I'll read through the posts when I have time & find out.

Its in for an MOT tomorrow so I'll see if a diagnostic test can be done, I'll keep you posted on the result, fingers crossed it will pass, & I won't be cryin in the rain, literally as it'll be the bus stop for me,

Oh the joys, on my way into work happily sauntering along on the M6
in my newly bought Omega  I did notice a quick flash.
It happened about 5 times...  it was faster than the     priority boarders on a Ryan Air flight who shove past you in desperation to get the one seat on the flight, ...
the engine pulls well, doesn't heat up all temperature normal, but the one that flashed at me was      a little orange engine icon,
Its rattling underneath but not very loudly but enough to annoy the pants off Pope Denedict' remember tolerance is a virtue or was that patience....
anyway it sounds like the 'cat' so would this light up an engine management light noble folks ?
