Omega Electrical and Audio Help / NCDC 2015 no aerial
« on: 03 October 2010, 21:20:48 »
I have 2001 Y reg 2.6 elite auto estate. The sat nav,cd and and phone all work fine but the radio reception is very poor. The car has the Siemens NCDC 2015 installed. The car had no aerial when I bought it only a housing were it should have been on the roof. I have been told that the part I need is over £200 as it is the Elite version but as the phone and sat nav both work surely it can only be the physical aerial stub and some connectors for the radio that is required.

Any help will be most appreciated.

Hi fellow Omega owners. As a frequent visitor to your site and a new member below is a brief car history.

I have had a number of Omega's over the last 10 years, some good some bad. I currently own a 2001 Omega 2.6 auto estate Elite 74,000 miles, a real thrill to drive. My last car was an Audi Avant diesel, very economical but I hated being dragged by the front wheels and waiting for the turbo to cut in, so went back to a petrol rear wheel drive(Audi also needed a new auto box and sound system luckily under warranty!) . I brought the aforementioned omega estate for £1800 from a back street car dealer in Manchester last year with 65,000 miles on the clock. I am no mechanic but it seemed worth the punt! For the most part it has been a good buy and I really enjoy driving it but there are some issues I need to address. I will post these on the forum later and hope that some of the members can help with whether or not they are financially viable on this car.
