Thank's for the replies  :y :y :y

-and her goes- the results for the crazy dane.. this weekend-

Oh dear i've spent all weekend trying to get the "%#*!" re mote start installed :P

Got most of it sorted now :D... without the wiring schematic..  8-)

Only need to find the one last wire to get the remote,  to get the point, that the motor is actually started..  ;) it needs a wire that has 12v on it, but only when the motor is runnig.. - so please dear god, let my girlfriend understand that my tinkering-omega-time is not only reserved for weekends..  :D

As for specs on the Danish 1994 Omega 3.0 MV6 .. 211 bhp, electrical everything: windows - mirrors(heated asswell), sunroof - electrical, seat heating, electrical seats, A/C, etc. etc. the darn thing even got servo  ;D ;D ;D

.. no leather...  :-/

As for my danish heritage.. what does "plenum", and "fob" means?? I can't figure that out..

Hi, I was wondering if anyone could make sense of the following for me.
Just rebuilt the top end of my 2000 3.0 F/L due to bad misfire. Also had to replace the cats as they were fried due to poor fuel burning and blocked them both.
I had two aftermarket cats fitted as I couldn't find originals and spoke to a really helpful guy at the shop who advised non type approved cats needed as the lambda sensors are in front of the cats so it wont affect the emmisions reading.

Not long after leaving the garage the EML came on and has been intermittantly on ever since. I did the paperclip test and it came back with 3 codes

61 - Fuel tank vent valve voltage low
89 - o2 sensor 2 open circuit
17 - Knock signal circuit 2.

Could anyone tell me if the three could possibly be related? I'm guessing the O2 (89) is a dead lambda sensor ( I re-fitted the originals) but I'm not sure about the others.
Idling on the car is rough and mpg is attrocious, around 7 to the gallon according to the trip computer.
I have done such a lot to this car and spent more than I should have so I'm hoping for an easy fix. Any help or experience would be gratefully received.

Keep up the good work guys!

SHD1968

Have you checked the connectors is properly fitted for the knock, and the lambda sensors?, also check if you have properly grounding on engine, (measure voltage between bat neg. and engine, while is engine running).

It's wierd with theese 3 errors simultaniously since they are not at all related - in my opinion..  :-?

Pardon spelling.. Danish dude typing  ;D

That's interesting .......
I recently fitted a MV6 interior to mine and the seller inadvertantly sent me a saloon base. There was no way that it would fit even using stretch clamps to try and force it in deep enough to align the securing clips. The seller sent me the correct estate base ( thanks dieseld4  :y) and it clipped straight in.
It would seem that going the other way works, ie fitting estate into saloon so good luck and let us know how it goes . :y

Maybe it's because mine is a late model?
However the front seats and the panel were the same (as expected) the base of the backseat just popped right in, the trouble was with the rear backs where brackets needed to be cutted and stuff like that ;-) also the backs are to wide and need to be modified for the seatbelt roll-up to fit, a somewhat nasty job - but doable if persistant enough  :D :D

Rear saloon base is deeper , wider and a totally different shape . Estate base will not fit as pick up points for securing / locking brackets are in the wrong place and it is again shaped for the mid hinge .

The project is still on  :D :D i was just out to see the estate seats, and the base just snappes right in the lock holes  :y

The back rests however need to have the hinges modified/moved quite a bit, and there is a small gap between the backs and the doors that need plastic trimming, but that was included from the estate also, and is very easy to modify to fit also.  :D

btw the complete cabin is up for only £125 think thats a bargain anyway..?
Not particularly. Last Elite facelift leather I sold for £110, and that was last year.

The seats need to be from the same era - see the posts in FAQ, else you'll get into all sorts of trouble with airbags, heaters etc.

Leather is so common, I'd buy the right ones....   ....if I wanted leather. Leather is horribly uncomfortable, hot and sweaty in summer, cold in winter....   ....the most comfy Omega I've owned was my old Elite 2.5TD with cloth.

Leather is not common in Denmark, and usually goes for about £400-500 over here. I know the seats are warm in summer, and cold in the winter - but they are heated, for the winter, and in the summer the aircon is on..

Your gues are slowly but surely convincing me that the backseats will never fit..  :'( i'll just have to wait for the right set to come on sale then...

Go for it then!  :-?  :-?  :-? Your user name is quite appropiate.  ;)
The car's might both be the same width, but the rear seats, base & back, are completely different & won't swap between cars as per other answers above.

:D :D I have removed the backseats from my saloon now, tomorrow i'll have a test fit of the estate seats before byuing them, the guy selling also think im loosing it  ;D

The rear seat back is completely different on the estate. It has runners on the rear so it can be locked in the down position to give a totally flat load area. The saloon has extra sections on the sides of the seat back, which the estate doesn't.

The rear door cards are interchangable between saloons and estates. It's only the top frame and glass area of the rear doors that are different.

As Andy said, look up some pictures and all will become clear.  :y

Yes it's clear to see on pictures that the design and function of the rear seats are not the same.. however in my opinion they should be able to fit physically, as the cars are same size between the doors?
I would't do it the other way around though, as you then would use the function of the seats folding down, when you need the extra space in the estate..

I came across a very cheap set of leather seats - however my car is a saloon, and the seats are from an estate..

I was told the rear seats and door panels wont fit in the saloon.
But can anyone explain to me what the difference is. I was thinking of modifying the seats to fit somehow??
