Omega Electrical and Audio Help / Re: Audio 2.6 CDX
« on: 14 December 2010, 19:51:31 »
Thanks everyone, my Omega is a (very) recent purchase and it's a case of 'comes with problem'. No matter where we are, it persists, so it looks like I'll need to find a local outfit to investigate the suggestions re the connections.
Cheers  :(

Omega Electrical and Audio Help / Audio 2.6 CDX

Hi, I'm having a problem with the tuner on my 'new' '03 2.6 CDX.

It's working, but every time I try to manually tune or scan to a station, RDS kicks back, unwanted and it just scrolls through memory continuously without settling on a station.  :-?

Is there a 'master re-set' feature that anyone knows about?

Many thanks in advance for any brainwaves.

Omega General Help / Alarm - is it just me . . .?

I'm the proud new owner of an '03 2.6 CDX and really enjoying it! However, the 'lock/alarm' button on my key fob doesn't work (unlock works fine). So I follow the manual process, turn the key once to the rear and then turn it again. But - sometimes the alarm still goes off after 4/5mins. Any brainwaves, or am I just not deft enough (I did say deft!). Many thanks for any tips. David

I looked at 6 and drove 4 before deciding. I, personally, think it's down to condition, history and miles more than model. I went for an '03 2.6 CDX in the end (brought it home this Friday!) and I have to say (touching wood as I write) it puts a smile on my face and I think I've made a wise choice over the more ancient BMW 7's and Lexus LS's that I was also looking at. A huge amount of car for the money.

Hello again and thank you all so much for your welcome and good wishes - much appreciated.

Well, the deed is done!

This evening I returned with my new Omega - and promptly woke the whole road, as I'd not read the Handbook and managed to trigger the alarm.

But it's a wonderful advance over my old manual Scorpio diesel.

More soon I'm sure,
David

Hello All,
Tomorrow, I plan to hand over the necessary and bring a 2003 2.6 CDX back to her new home.

Looking forward to many hours of smooth and trouble free driving. So I'll be checking and learning the ropes over the next few days.

It's very reassuring to have this amazing resource of information and hints to join.

Best wishes to all,
David

It oozes 'class' - especially from that front three quarter view. Where does the grille come from? It really does blend into the body colour.
