Omega General Help / how much for 3.2 elite estate
« on: 04 April 2012, 09:37:56 »
Hi All,

we are going to move abroad and need to sell our cars. Wife has a 2003 3.2 Elite Estate auto with just under 160k on the clock.
It's in fairly good condition, paintwork has a few scratches but nothing major.

Any recommendations how much this could go for?

Cheers

Omega General Help / Small coolant leak
« on: 29 June 2011, 15:35:54 »
Hi all,

The Omega has a small coolant leak from the side of the radiator. The coolant needs to be topped up every 4 weeks or so when the low level warning comes on.
I now wonder if anyone has experience with these leak sealer additives?
Are they doing the job, or is it best to avoid them and what do they do to the whole cooling system??? :-?

Cheers

Omega General Help / Rear wheel bearing change attempt
« on: 06 May 2011, 22:13:24 »
Hi all,

started to do my right hand side rear wheel bearing and I was not sure how to get the hub nut off as it should be bl...y tight, but it opened really easily.
I remember someone mentioned it needs to be torqued up with 320lb/ft.
It was possible to feel a wobble at the wheel moving it from side to side.
I now wonder if the nut wasn't tight enough or if it loosened somehow and the wheel bearing wasn't/isn't finished.
Any one got an idea?

Omega General Help / Re: Aircon leaking from valve
« on: 27 April 2011, 23:11:15 »
I thought this is the number for the larger front valve?
Found that post earlier and it mentioned the number but not for the smaller valve at the back?

Need to have a close look in the morning at the other one to see if it's also leaking.

Omega General Help / Aircon leaking from valve
« on: 27 April 2011, 21:57:08 »
Hi all,

had the aircon re-charged today including some dye.
They said they couldn't find a leak, but it is actually hissing out of the valve where it gets filled (I think).
Question now is, can this valve be replaced and has anyone got a part number for it.
Would be a great help.

Omega General Help / Advice on new brake discs
« on: 13 April 2011, 16:30:50 »
Hi All,

I am in the process of getting new brake discs all round and wondered if anyone fitted Mintex ones before.
There is a seller on ebay who charges £50 front, £70 back.

Looks like a good price to me  :-/
