Hi guys ,still having issues with the auto box,just had oil changed still doing the same thing,no faults coming up,it seems to be more frequent now,could it be the gear selector,or something else, need some more help with this one.cheers all

already had it checked other day its fine

Car jacked up/on ramps, level with engine running :question

ye the guy at the garage said the same as you so i pressume it was running.i will see if i can get him to read the faults on it


it was done at the garage on car lift,so it was level

As Rob says, engine must be running to get a proper level.

Hi all,need advice on the problem,my autobox is playing up sometimes its fine then it wont change into gear properly,or wont go into gear at all for a few seconds,on the odd occasion its jumped and then i get a symbol of a car with a spanner through it light up on the dash,i stop turn car of for a few seconds start it up again and out goes the light and its fine until it does it again,ive read about some sort of ecu update will this fix the problem and were can i get this done.the car is a 2002 2.6 v6 cdx any advice please.

Hi all, this morning had a bit of snow so popped to the petrol station in the omega autobox was in snow mode,stopped at garage fuelled up got back in car ,ignition would not allow the key to turn and gears were stuck in park made a few frantic calls to the aa got back in car ten mins or so later tried turning the key and everything started up as normal,what could cause this to happen in the first place.

hi guys,just got a 2.6 v6 cdx 2002 model,it has a oil leak not to sure were from,but looks like bottom end of engine,seems like theres a bit of oil thats gathered on the ledge at bottom of engine bay behind the rad housing area.And also the dash display lights are only working at one side any advice greatly recieved,cheers steve

Hi all,just thought i would say howdy,having just bought a 2002 omega 2.6 v6 cdx in blue 124k with full history,very clean car only 2 issues i know of.for this is where you guys maybe able to help me with,firstly it has  a oil leak not to sure where from yet but looks like from the front bottom of engine seemsto be a bit of oil on the ledge at bottom of engine bay where the rad fans are,and secondly only half the dash is illuminated when lights are on,dash bulbs i guess not to sure how to change them on this model.im in manchester area as well so any decent recommendations for a garage would be helpful.cheers steve
