Hi all,
just a couple of quick questions :-
1. Which degreaser would you suggest to clean out the water system, as i still have oil in it.Where also can this be purchased? and what's the best way to go about it?Will the water tank continue to get oil in it if the cam cover seals have gone? I still have oil in the plug holes is this because of the cam cover seals?

2. Which side of the engine bay is knock sensor ( code 16 ) , if you are looking into the engine bay from the front with the battery to the right. Is it the one battery side or altenator side?

3. Other error code i'm getting is 61 fuel tank vent, is this a legit code? What is it?

4.  Drivers door, the handle is just waggling, can i assume the complete lock inside the door is knackered? It still locks via remote, but has to be opened from the inside, to physically get the door open.
Any thoughts would be hugely apporeciated.
Thanks

I'm with Mark dtm on this one, you will probably find it is all down to the earth connection, which is under the
plastic cover in the boot. Mine was held on by a piece of coloured plastic. About as useful as as a chocolate fireguard. A sure sign of something going on is your fuel guage, if it goes off when your lights or foglights are switched on, you know it's the earth.
Good luck with it.

I tend to agree that this is probably not hg and is more likely to be the oil cooler.
You are showing eactly the same symptoms as my 96 cdx was.
Even after my oil cooler change i still get build up around the oil filler cap.
I would suggest have a clean round the filler cap ,and then give it a few days ,
then have a look again. If the mayo has come back, you need to change that oil cooler.
I think that the "poodling around town" is a bit of a myth.....mine built up at the same speed
wether i took it on a run or not.
Hope this helps.
Good luck.

Omega General Help / Very strange problem
« on: 02 December 2006, 14:57:28 »
Every time the indicator is used, the warning lights for the abs and traction control come on, then even more weirdly the fog light switch starts flashing on and off, and the fog light indication on the display starts flicking on and off. Also the radio/warning display on the dash, is also flashing on and off.
Have checked the fuses they all seem ok.
The really strange thing is, if you turn the ignition off and back on again everything is normal until you use the indicator stalk.
Have also noticed that the indicator audiable sound is much quicker on occasion.
What does everyone think?
Idn't think it can be as simple as peplacing the indicator stalk, as much more seems to be going on.
 :( :-/

Sorry to hear of your problem!!!
Did they need to remove your radiator at all when refitting bumper etc?
If it is pouring out , sounds like a hose is disconnected.
Can you trace where it is draining from?
I'm sure someone will be more precise about where to look, but if it is pouring out
sounds like a hose to me.
Good luck

If I remember rightly 135 is wrong voltage on bulb for the engine management light.
Are the dash and eml bulbs the same?

I concur with the boy, after my oil cooler change i had to flush through at least five times before i could
be sure there was no oil left in the water system.
