thankyou for that advise the pipe were talking about was already removed hence the nut falling in ,the studs i meant were the exhaust ones 3 of mine were previously snapped and its just got noisier so today i tried to fix it thats how i got into this predicament,do you know whats inside that hole and can it do any damage?thanks again

no didnt have one just drained oil tried to feel around for it but to no avail will try magnet tommorow cheers,ps how does the sump come off if need be and will that get out nut any help would be really appreciated then i can get gaskets done.and is it common for studs to snap on head and if so whats easiest fix please

it fell in a hole where the pipe comes out of the engine and up to the head id also removed that to clean it out as it was clogged theese are on the passenger side of engine bay just hope someone can advise

sorry i think i put my question in the wrong place before,was wondering if any one knows how to get a nut from the engine where a breather comes up to the head as i dropped one either in there or the exhaust whilst trying to do a few jobs today also wondering if its a big job to do head as i think its on way out many thanks for any advice
