As many of you kindly advised, I have cleaned the idle control valve. This seems (today) to have stopped the cutting out. The revs however seem to stay quite high but do eventually drop to idle when stopped. It just seems a little sticky or is it me?...Thanks again for your help

There's no suction on the small breather hose, looks completely gunged up. Maybe we've found the problem!!

I haven't done the paperclip test but it has been put on the reader at the garage with no fault reading! Thanks for the info ref the aircraft noise.

Can anyone help..I have 2l omega 1998. intermitent cutting out, usually when hot. Also sounds like a turbine for the first 5 mins after starting from cold! Cheers
