From what I can gather, yes it's physically leaking. The oil leak, well we are no further forward with that as the car is now parked at my sons house and will remain there for the forseeable future.
Not that I don't trust the garage, but I know that I can get the parts required i.e. the #4 injector, probably a lot cheaper and easier then them and with Matt saying they would try to source a secondhand one..... I would rather get a good recon item from a trusted source, if you know what I mean.
A hole in the block! Nah, but it does need looking at. I've asked my young lad if he can slip a drip tray of some kind underneath and see how much it is leaking. By the looks of things the car won't be used again until later this month when I get across there, SWMBO is coming back home on Monday and she does have the use of another car while in Scotland so no big shakes on that score.
Will definately see about making use of Mr. H21 and his wizzo tech 2, if we can organise a meet when I'm back there.
I do know one thing, she is due a service since I bought her last April. Mileage since then is probably in the region of 3000 anyway so due for an oil change anyway.
I'm just wondering if the limited use of the car is affecting it, I only get to drive her once every 2 months and SWMBO, well every time she goes over when I'm at work.
Thanks for the warning of alarm bells though, I was kinda thinking on those lines when first told about the problems.

we shall see what we shall see.

Mm? More details please, especially about the 25 quid injector!!!!

For the leak off pipes I was thinking more along the line of small bore nylon pipe, heat up the ends with hairdryer until just warm enough to be pliable, fit them then spray with plumbers freeze to 'set' them in place but now interested in this silicon pipe. Can you expand on that please.

Cheers

Was spare one I had that I got from a un-knowledgeable(dunderheed) scrapie some time ago for £25  ;)
I still have an old one (I think) but it would throw up code 82 (sensor injector out of range) so not much point fitting it.  :(

Bugga, thought I might be onto something there.

Oh well, it's still Sunday where you are, but here it's early doors Monday morning so champing at the bit for more information from Scotland....need to know whether or not to order the injector from Andy C as it has some lead time 7 to 10 days!!

C'mon world rotate faster!!!! ;D
