OOF Shop
« on: 12 March 2012, 20:32:14 »

The OOF Shop will be unavailable until from Wednesday 6pm until early April, due to an upgrade that is planned for the last week of March.

Royal Mail are revising their prices in early April, before the shop reopens, and although details are not published, they are expected to significantly increase the price for delivery, and sadly, our prices will have to increase to accomodate this.

So, if there is anything you want from the OOF shop, I'd recommend ordering before Wednesday afternoon.

Profits from the shop go towards the running costs of the site.

What else can you do do, its not your fault the RM is bloody greedy. Its so typical of the Royal Mail once again shoving up the costs for a lessening service.
Might be worth a look at the delivery services of some of the courier companies cos I tend to use them now for things that used to go by RM. Lower  in costs and most collect instead of the usual trail to the PO and stand in a queue for an interminable length of time while the gossipers and timewasters that seem to have all day to accomplish anything hog the front of the line.
Just a thought. ;)

RM, even if they put prices up by a factor of 10 would still be cheaper than any courier service for the majority of stuff OOF sends out.

Agreed for the small stuff, however I got a quote for a parcel that was too big (by 5mm >:() for special delivery, so had to go parcel farce 48 hour......insured £800, cost nearly £45.

City link?

£16.50 insured to a grand.
