evening all done pedal code test on mig tonight code 1700 came up is this telling me that auto transmission oil is due for change mig has covered 87000 cheers tony2. last test came back no fault codes that was about 4 weeks ago

i would probably change auto box fluid to be honest,as with that mileage its probably due one imho  :y

No, its telling you the autobox has a stored fault code. Get autobox codes read.

Though at 87k, worth changing ATF if the box isn't kackered

update cleared fault code today checked several times during the day still clear ie no faults on any system. are there any OOF mechs over in my area(durham)in the near future willing to do the atf change cheers tony2

Oof recommends 60k service intervals.

Theory on changing the ATF is very simple. Very messy though. So I pay my local auto box man £50 and give him the parts/ATF.
