salooon to estate exhaust
« on: 27 March 2012, 20:12:19 »

i have fitted a saloon centre section and a saloon big bore back box onto my cdx estate.the ctr section was a slightly different shape and i had to extend a little but i wasnt too bad a fit.sounds quite nice too.the mounting hooks on the back box were miles too short so made a couple of brackets out of some stainless steel strips i got from work then welded into place.should last a while i hope. ;D :D

Very similar here fella. Back box blew on my estate, brother in law said he had a new one and dropped it round. Got the old one off with grinder and started fitting new one. Pitch and bore of both pipes were the same but the angle to the centre pipes was way out. Oxy acet set to heat it up and bent to fit. Mine sounds great aswell......but the tailpipe was a bit shorter. First trip out the exhaust heated up the rear bumper and melted the n/s rear reflector  :D ;D  Well worth it for the sound  :y
