(Ford) Audio - question for Dave DND
« on: 28 March 2012, 18:36:40 »

Hi Dave,

Have you any experience of the Ford 6006E unit having a flashing LCD display. The unit works fine - but the display flashes on/off every second or so.

It's defo a fault with the display itself as I swapped it with a spare I have.

Many thanks - Rob

Usually a dry joint on the fascia -

LCD panel is often plugged into a socket on the main board - remove and refit a couple of times and problem may well go away.

If not, and you have a Visteon version, then the "blue" or "green" paint on circuit tracks may be starting to bio-degrade on the fascia - and that is going to be a "send to me" jobbie, not a self fix.
