Passenger side air recirculation inlet?
« on: 01 April 2012, 23:12:20 »

I purchased an A/C vent spray to clean out any mildew and contaminants in the vent system.  In order to use it, I have to find where the air inlet is for air recirculation mode.

In the service manual, it states, "1. Remove passenger side sound insulator 2. Remove blower motor module from duct 3. Spray contents into the blower motor module hole."

I am struggling to find the blower motor module in the service manuals.  Any ideas?

is this an Aerosol can with a lock down clip on nozzel??? (by locking clip it emptys whole can hands free?)

basicly if it is with some ive used you start up car switch on AC & Recirculate then stand can in front passenger footwell & activate, making sure all doors windows closed & leave for 10mins it will auto be drawn threw the system,

under the glovebox there is a flat trim panel that goes from dash to bulkhead that you can pull out, looking towards the tunnel you will see the outlet to feet blowers i think just above this is the inlet for recirculation..

if you have to hold your finger on the nozzel you could get it ready & tape nozzel down & stand it up quickly in the footwell aiming the spray at the bulkhead worth a go...???

Thanks for the reply.  The can was not hands free.  I found the feet blower as you said it it did appear that the recirc was above it.  Since it was a liquid spray and I couldn't find the inlet for sure, I just sprayed all the vents and released the rest of the can at the outside inlet.  Seems to have worked

Thanks again for the help!
