Hi everyone. when on the motorway, when i ease of the gas the car starts to slow, then seems to hesitate then free-wheel. is this a problem with my g/box or is meant  to be like that? tia.

Doesn't sound right. As its a 4 pot, check engine codes for cam sensor code first of all.
Might be able to paper clip that model...?

Could it not just be the box locking up? What are the revs doing?

I did,nt look at the rev-counter, it just seems to go into free-wheel mode, i had a rover auto that did the same thing i will look at the  rev -counter next time. cheers. mel.
