keys and lock

i have a 2.2dti omega and my key fob opens the car and so on but when i first got the car i wanted to check if i could open it manualy just incase the battery ran out but my key doesnt open it ??? but it works in the ignition
any help would be great

any help would be great

A case of use it or lose it I think. Try a bit of lub in the lock, chain lub would be better than WD40 but anything is better than nothing.  :y :y

It's handy to know that if for any reason your car battery goes completely flat, that you can get into you car with a key rather than having to maul about connecting 12volts to the car somewhere so you can use the fob. Especially with a facelift car with no option to crawl through the boot.  :) :y

il have a go in a min and see what happens, also what i wanted to know is how does the ash tray and surround come off as i want to wrap it as its wood affect  :P
