I did one last week on a 2.5, I think I payed £68 for a genuine part, but they had to order it in and there is a link on here explaining that there are two types of crank sensor on the 2.5 so  if you have a 2.5 make sure you get the correct one.

Simple job to do, just unplug one end and use a Torx screwdriver on the other end.

The hardest part of the job is locating the crank sensor, if you take off the N/S front wheel you will see the oil filter and the sensor is just above it held in by a torx bolt.

As above but follow the guide regarding routing of the cable.... or the exhaust heat will damage it and you'll be replacing it again very soon !!

Any luck?

As this is such a quick job, (eg, 15 mins) I could potentially call in tomorrow PM, as I may be near the area, weather depending. Drop me a PM if you need any help.

I'm hoping you've got it sorted, though  :y
