Fault Codes???
« on: 24 May 2012, 12:58:38 »

Ok, EML has been on a couple of weeks and just got round to doing pedal test.

I am getting 0170 & 0173, which according to the list is Fuel Trim Malfunction Bank 1 & Fuel Trim Malfunction Bank 2.

Up to the weekend this had made no difference with how she drives but we changed the exhaust and fuel filter at the weekend and it has got much warmer outside and it appears to have lost some grunt especially on the bottom end.

Has anyone got any ideas what is causing this. I thought it just had a faulty MAF but it appears not!

Why it could not be MAF? That's about the only one causing these codes  :-\

Certainly could be MAF.. What steps have been taken to diagnose it?

Check for intake air leaks as well.

I haven't ruled anything out, I just thought it sounded more serious than the maf!

Will check for air leaks later and I plan on doing a full breather clean at the weekend!
