I tried to change diff oil according to forum's Diff Oil Change - maintenance guide.

I took the rear diff support bolts off but I was able to lower the diff about 3cm and diff stayed up without any support.
Should diff lower more or is 3cm max drop ?, now the upper housing cover bolts seemed to be hard to remove

Should be 4 bolts that hold the diff up in place.2 each side of U shaped bracket.

Remove ABS sensors ,place trolley jack under diff ideally with a piece of wood for protection.Loosen the 4 bolts and gently lower diff on jack.

Should come down a fair way,but will be stopped by the exhaust

I removed only one side bolt from left and right side  marked with green circle no spots

So this is not same

So i remove only 4 bolts and  leave the 2 side bolts in ?

An old, known good method to change the diff oil is to remove the bottom right bolt from the rear case of diff, the lower-most bolt. Then drill the bottom of this bolt hole with a 5-6 mm drill just a bit deeper, this will go directly to the "oil-space". When you see oill coming out, stop drilling, put a bucket under the diff and open the fill-plug. Diff will drain, bringing also out possible chips from drilling. When enpty, put the bolt back (if you want put some thread sealant on the bolt, but this is not essential, it will keep) and re-fill.

Yes I know the drilling method , but I wanted to clean everythig and check do I have LSD or not because last winter LSD wasn't working .....

I think that oil has never been changed so is there any chance to get LSD working again when I fill it tomorrow with
Mobilube Syn LS  75W-90 oil
