Additive or no additive ?

Hi guys and girls I am going to be changing the prop shaft seal on my 3.2 manual I am going to have to top the gear oil up anyway just want your advice as to wether or not to use a additive like moly slip ect as the box is a bit noisy and the gear shift a bit hit and miss ?
