Ireland and the Irish fans. A credit to the game.

Hopelesly out gunned by the world champions Spain, they battled away, kept trying to the end even when 4-0 down. They didn't cheat or dive, or kick the other side, knowing they where the 4the best team in thier group, they had a go.
While thier fans sang and supported them endlessly while amongst the Spanish fans treating each other with respect, applauding the goals and obvious ability from Spain.

...if only we could see this from all Teams and supporters.

Ireland, out sadly, but heads heald high. Fair play to them :y

(critics being exceptionally harsh IMO. :(  )

Yes, at 4-0 stage, Ireland fans still booming out the songs. Having been to Dublin for fist time recently, can see why everyone was very friendly, unlike other big capitals I've been too.

I had some Irish football fans 3or 4 months ago on train....obviously drunk but in very good mood, offering me Whiskey. Had nothing  else to do than join them  :D and celebrate their victory on our team. Hey, it was whiskey after all... :-*

Probably too drunk and with all their efforts on the singing to notice what was really happening on the field.
