I would say I can't believe it................ but I do and that is a sad state of affairs

This whole episode reminds me of cowboys & indians........... when certain members are criticised, the posse gather round and shoot the messenger, cheers guys, much appreciated :y

You had a problem with a member regarding a purchase and got a resolution after posting about it.  Good.   :y

That thread was then deleted by a member of the admin team.

You reposted the thread by screenshots and doing so, in my view, served no purpose other than to air your displeasure.

I then edited the second thread after confirming from you that you had already recieved an answer on the original thread and thus, the new one served no purpose other than to be devisive.

Have a read of the sales section guidelines and we can take it from there, if you wish?

We're going round in circles and going no where.... So:

1) My original post was to get a members attention as he was not answering me..... he finally replied, job done.

2) Due to a 3rd party name being mentioned, the entire thread was deleted rather than editing, as has been done to mine.

3) Hence why I re-posted with the name removed.

4) This has obviously upset family and friends as now all my posts are being removed.

5) This has then created a storm because I did..

6) Why?

It wasn't mud slinging and it would of been done privately, had he answered me in the first place.

I don't like being misled and fobbed off, hence, yes I am peeved.

Perhaps we are going in circles, perhaps not.

The only posts I personally edited is in the thread you posted up today and I have explained why it was done after confirming that you got a resolution to your earlier thread.

I confirmed the stance already taken by KW last night (and by Jimbob earlier today, I have since found out).

I understand that you are aggrieved at the matter however there is a process (of sorts) in place to resolve sales that go tits up and thats by contacting a member of the admin team.

Open airing of a problem is never nice to see or read about hence PM or via Admin is preferred.

Hope you see it from an Admin perspective as well as your own one.   :y

I do respect your position, I just felt aggrieved that my entire post was removed which I felt was unneccessary.

We are all greatful to be told of problems encountered when buying or selling or other such things and I felt this was relevant.  I know there are procedures to follow regarding disputes, yet right from the start this was only started to get a reply from the other person, as other means were being ignored.

I got a response and as far as I was concerned, that was the end of it.   The deleting of the entire post was what broke the camels back.

As you said though, what is done is done.............

Thank you for your comments :y

Perhaps if you had followed our wooly sales gone sour process and contacted the admin team at the outset then it may well have been resolved much sooner.  :y

BV, do not take this the wrong way but there seems something sour in the way you have reacted to this saga.  That is the only reason that the admins have resorted to removing your posts.  There is a procedure clearly set out in the guidelines for these types of situations whether they are deliberate or a mistake.  Knowing the member involved made no difference to my comment on your other thread, your matter had been resolved so why air the dirty laundry?  I would have made the same comment if it had been any other member.  (However knowing him as I do he surely made an honest mistake and made sure that you were not out of pocket, it appears that he may be though that's his burden to bear)

There is history with these types of grievances which have caused bad blood in the forum and if you haven't guessed it the admins are trying to ensure that things get resolved with the least amount of fuss and sour grapes, as mentioned they can help in such circumstances.  They all put in a lot of their own time, patience and money in to this site and we are allowed on here only by their own grace.  The membership may make the atmosphere on here but it's the leadership of the admins/mods that steer and guide us keeping us in line.  I hope you can understand that.

Coincidentally, I am not sure how long you left him to get back in touch with you but such matters can take time to sort out and reply satisfactorily.

Like I said, this is not meant in a bad way I'm just trying to help you understand the actions which have been taken. :y

Hiya Guffer,

No offence taken :y

The bit I highlighted is what people seem to have jumped on and believe to be the problem... it wasn't.

As said previously, the only reason this was posted, was to get a reply from the member as other communications were not being answered, anyway, I've said my piece and had chats with the admin guys and as far as it goes I believe that's the end of the story?

I agree with what you said though, it can turn sour very quickly and it's a difficult job to police a site like this, especially as it's their own time 'n money and for that, I am grateful for the site which they run :)

As I previously said, your problem was answered/remedied in the first thread.  To subsequently repost an already resolved problem served no usefull purpose to my eye, other than perhaps mischievous in nature, hence my edit after it had already been resolved/moderated in a fashion to which I agree.

No?

Either way, it's now done and dusted. To further post on the thread will serve no purpose whatsoever.  :y
