Lidl: Car Stuff Day
« on: 10 April 2008, 18:14:46 »

Been to Lidl today.....they have a nice selection of exhaust trims (round, slant & oval pattern) in a quality, heavy-gauge German made chrome finish: £4.99......Chromed 'amber' indicator lamps x2: £2.99 and loads of other car-goodies.
I bought some of the above items and some chromed number-plate frames, nice! :y

They also do cheap upholstery cleaner, tyre dressing and dash shine. Had a quick bash today with the upholstery stuff on the grubbier marks on my carpets and seems to be quite good!

Trouble is -- at least here -- you have to be quick ! They only stock a couple of each "special" and they disappear rapidly !

I see the exhaust trims are actually polished heavy-gauge Stainless Steel so are smashing value IMHO.  :y

I looked at the exhaust tips last night (in for beer) But they are too narrow to go over the twin pipes on the elite :(

Over the years I've tried many tyre dressing and have found that the W5 Lidl can is the best . Not too shiney but lasts very well, I bought 6 of them . Interesting that you only paid £4.99 for the exhaust trim ,it was on sale at 9.99 euro over here this week which is not correct as per exchange rate. All sold from two stores within 24 hours  :'(
