Door Removal

Good Day Guys,

Normally i wouldnt ask but i dont have my haynes manual available.

We need to (due to weather) remove the doors ( front and back) to enable us to sort out the rust spots and respray where required any one got a how to guide?

is it possible and do i need any replacement parts

Be warned ... they are VERY heavy !!! .. take care .. :(

It is not a difficult job as long as you have a pin puller and you take care.

It is not a difficult job as long as you have a pin puller and you take care.

I have convinced the hubby to empty out the studio ( formally known as MY garage) for a week so we dont have to remove the doorswe can treat and spray in situe  :) :) :) :)

well i didnt convince him i told him!!!! plus buy the time he gets home from his duty on sunday AM ill have a 24hr head start  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D the garage will have a car in it with the door rust removed treated and hopefully preped for him to prime.

i dont spray well try not to he does a better job then me so i get hubby to do it.  ;D

i will have a shiny rust free mig!

    Just remember when you come to to put the doors back you may find you will have to reset the SRS system, side air bags in other words, i only know that this can be done by tech 2, may be wrong and if the light is on the dash this will be an mot failure from this year onwards.    :y

This can be avoided by leaving the ignition off while the doors are off. :y
