Trip down South
« on: 29 July 2012, 16:35:13 »

I have been asked to go down to the London/Kent area at the end of August. If anyone else would like anything doing to their car whilst I am down there, please give me a shout.

Cheers

Cleaned it up again last week, used it for work and back (60 miles), plus a drive around Brackley to find my other car earlier, and its plastered with oil again...   ...If I had to make a guess, upper sump to block, near front, but we've done that already  :-\

TBE? Running down from cam covers, no? Drivers bank, runs down behind rear cam belt covers over the top of the alternator onto the sump. Or have we discussed this before? :-\

TBE is fluid tight. The Silver Bullet, being of a certain age, is incontinent ;D

You know you're wrong. The inferior facelift has done a third of the miles of the superior prefacelift, yet looks like its done 10 times more. The superior prefacelift doesn't fall apart, and doesn't rattle. Yet despite its smaller engine, and excessive miles, is faster and more economical.

I could probably do with x2 cambelts, not sure currently as I've just spent £1300 on both Omega's...there's only so much I can spend without whincing, and a MAF if possible. I'm using both Omega's now, so just swap MAF's over  ;D
And, of course you'd be more than welcome to stop by / over at anytime  :y
