I think, if I had to choose, I'd probably have the RB26DET or 2JZ over the VG30DETT; despite the fact that I owned the latter.. the bottom end is just as bulletproof but the rest of it is prone to leaks and annoying issues, more so than the two straight six options, from what I can tell.

Then again, a V does sound lovely.

i dont know what to do, i may just end up buying an engine and playing with it making it run right in a garage and in a jig and then look at putting it in something lol

Ls3 v8 is what you want.

Not cheap or easy, but it's been done.

LOL! thing that puts me off is ecu and steering rack. id quite like an engine and just have it to mess about with and start up in the garage- like the top gear food blender, i could have whatever then lol!
