Buy Parts By
« on: 29 July 2012, 19:57:40 »

I'm looking at ordering a clutch kit from Buy Parts By but would like to know if anyone has any experience with this company? Are they any good for delivering parts quickly? I don't need the car all week so was going to strip it ready for the clutch change tomorrow after work, but I need the car on the weekend.

Thanks

I have used them many times and have never had any problem with them.
Usually a good price from them too - I got my timing belt kit from them.

Thanks, the reason I am going to order from them is because the price is very good and I doubt that the secretary in work can get it cheaper for me even on trade price, I just don't want to strip the car if the chances of it arriving before the weekend if I order tonight is slim.

I would be inclined to give them a ring tomorrow and speak with someone... Might be you need to upgrade to a premium delivery to ensure it arrives in time :-\ After all, if you call in the morning it should still go out tomorrow, as it would if you order tonight ;)

As a mail order company for prompt delivery they seem ok.

But after wheel baring issues and discussions with them over returns, I don't see anything that justifys customer loyalty personally. Although the quality of the part was no fault of thiers of course.

Thanks for the replies, seems they are fine for delivery so I'll just order, says they give a tracking number in the FAQ's so I will just wait untill I can start tracking the part before stripping the car, if push comes to shove I can just put it off till another week as its not desperate to change.
