Wishbone removal hint

Removing the wishbones on the mig, bolts all out cannot get the it seperated at the ball joint any tips. Been at it for well oven an hour without any luck.

Cold chisel or wedged shaped blunt tool hammered into the gap to spread the joint.

Plus gas

Bar in the centre hole of the wb. Lever down.

Tap with hammer if stubborn. Or long punch on top of the stub axle onto the ball joint end, and hammer, while you lever the bar down with your leg.


Leave cold chisel / wedge thing in place until new wb in place if pos.

Have widened joint with chisel, have been battering it for god knows how long. Only thing is cannot find my tin of plus gas. to try that.

i put trol jack on the on the tie rod ball joint and lift about an inch and a half then pop it off with a crowbar but need to put the bolts back in. try'd it the way you are doing it tuck over 2hr did it my way 20min, and if you leave the jack were it is can put the wish bone back in with out hitting anthing and pops in first time..
