When my climate control is on theres a horrible screetch from behind the dash and you can hear it from outside the motor funcrions ok and when on full blast the blowers drown the noise out. Any ideas

The blower motor assembly sits up behind the glovebox mate.  If that's where the noise is coming from, I'd suspect the bearings have had it.  Stick your head in the passenger footwell and you'll be more or less underneath it.  :y

Has the scuttle drain been blocked? That knackers the bearings
