Ok, I retro-fitted an elite rear view dipping mirror the other week, obviosly tested it before i started soldering, all ok, connected the ground to the sunroof ground, +12v to switched sunroof +12v, then, i have two extra wires which ive taped up to the loom for a later date, the curtosy light and reverse light, so it un-dims the either these are on or both. Im going to run these wires across the top of the window, down the pillar and into the passenger footwell, heres my question, anyone know the correct wires i need to tap into? for curtosy light and reverse? (pretty sure white/black is reverse)?

Another alarm question  , as per 99% of migs, the powersounder and 'alarm horn' are disconnected, as we all know why. my question is, can the 'alarm horn' JUST be connected for the alarm to sound (without the powersounder plugged in)?

TB and Chris will know this one, when you both had a look at my rear window and said i needed a new mechanism, is this it?

I make that 3 Qs, not a couple

Courtesy light is available in, errr, the courtesy light - nice and easy .  Reverse wire, yeah, kick panel, from memory its white with a black trace.

Alarm - yes

Window - yes. I did one yesterday. You need to drill out rivets, and rivet in the new one. Quite easy, hardest bit is taking doorcard off.

haha very funny, i know i can take the feed from the courtesy light, but which wire?  (I was going to run them both down to the kick panel thats all)

There are a few variations of courtesy light, and their wiring. Measure around with a meter, looking for the one that changes when courtesy light comes on/off

Taa muchly, dont have a meter, nor how to use one, maybe its time to invest in some more tools
